Holbeach

in Lincolnshire UK is home to an RAF base with a difference. No hangars, no runways and no parked aircraft are to be seen but there is a helipad. 

Between here and the sea, out of shot towards the right, are targets for jet aircraft pilots to practise their shooting skills and this activity can take place during the working week but by no means on every day. At weekends and non-operational days people, their dogs, and photographers are free to roam about.

Notices abound warning us not to pick up any items which could turn out to be unexploded ordnance.
