A very rare species …….

….so rare in fact that this is the only recorded specimen of the Castanea Sativa butterfly.

A great day for an autumn walk …..  not a breath of wind and warm enough to leave my gloves in my pocket.

I arrived in Pollok Park just as the park runners, having finished their 5K, we’re on their way out …. I certainly wasn’t tempted to increase my walking speed to a jog.
