Cardiff and Barry Island
This morning we packed the car and headed towards Barry Island. Neither of us had ever been before so we were unsure where to park or how to get to the coast path. We spotted some free parking by some new houses close to the waterfront and explored further on foot. We soon found a car park with a path that seemed to be heading in the right direction and followed the flow of dog walkers, hikers and joggers. The scenery by the sea was lovely, not quite as beautiful as Devon, Cornwall and Dorset, but it was helped by another sunny morning. We walked around the headland, across the beach, which was full of families enjoying themselves (in October!!), and then up behind the bay and back to the car. Before going home, we headed to Treforest where we met Kieran outside his uni for a lovely Sunday lunch which we enjoyed while sitting in the sun.
