Dead Quiet

We got out early this morning to visit a local cemetery that’s brimming with vibrant Fall colors; lots of yellow with highlights of orange and red. I noticed it a few days ago while driving by and knew we needed to spend some time there before all the leaves drop. One must not delay because they’re escaping like mad, filling the air like a leaf storm. We’ve been fortunate not to have had any gusty winds but that will change in the coming days. Soon our beautiful trees will be bare • The cemetery was deadly quiet as we politely and respectfully tiptoed our way among headstones and walkways. MrsP noticed a door slightly ajar on one of the old tombs but decided not to linger or get too close • Halloween is only 17 days away…
