Riding
Today was ride day. The girls (mums) are doing the Isobel Challenge in a few weeks so we scoped the course. In fact we nearly doubled the course nearly with a 37km look up Jacks and down Jollies pass, and through the race course. A good but tiring ride. The other half of the team ran the 8km, nearly straight uphill, course.
Hil and I took 3 (leisurely) hours to do the ride, 1 hr up Jacks, and then 2 hours for the race course, including a 15 minute deviation, so 1.45 really. Be good if she can do some time between 1.30 and 1.40 on race day.
Needless to say the household was a bit buggered that afternoon. But we corralled the kids and headed into some tamer forest for a kids ride. 5 leisurely km's thru the trees - really fantastic.
