A Bit Of Goalmouth Action
Yeovil were at home again tonight, against Altrincham, and managed to give an improved performance, providing a bit of goalmouth action and excitement which had been sorely missing from our last two games.
We ended up drawing 1-1 which was probably a fair result, although it looked as though we had scrambled the ball across the line a couple of times in goalmouth scrambles; sadly, the officials didn’t see it that way. There was a sense that we ought to have won the match, given that their goalkeeper injured himself after 12 minutes and with no reserve keeper on the bench, one of their outfield subs had to go in goal: to be fair, it looked as though he’d played the role before and gave a good account of himself, other than spilling the free kick that allowed our striker an easy tap in for our goal.
Other than the match and no golf this morning, it was a routine Tuesday, picking Sophie up from school this afternoon for her dance class and generally enjoying her company.
