Between fen and mountains

By Tickytocky

Not a pet

This patou or Pyrenean mountain dog was difficult to pass on our walk as it tried to prevent us continuing on the path as it was guarding its herd of goats. The patous usually guard sheep from large predators but only stand in the way and do not attack. Our two chapel walk was 12k with 690 metres of ascent but the views over the garrison town of Villefrance, a UNESCO heritage site, and our own valleys were wonderful. I have included some in extras.
