Reconstruction and launching
The morning spent taking the catamaran sections down to the sea, and reconstructing it.Peter made this catamaran by himself so he was in charge, anxious that the next generation were going to be able to do it by themselves next time. There were plenty of willing hands available for the heavy work, including a neighbour with his tractor and another young friend from Holland, so my main duty was childminding, which suited me fine. The little girl is lovely and has very impressive language skills.. With a French mother and German father, living in Holland, she understands and speaks all 3 languages, and clearly understands English, and did a good job of repeating much of what I said.
The whole operation was so successful that after our taverna lunch, when the afternoon breeze got up, we had a super sail to the mouth of the bay and back.
