Road trip

One of about 80 photographs that I took today - and what a day it was. Road trip in an area neither of us have seen before, that no single photo could possibly do justice to not least because we saw so much.  round trip from our hotel in Urgup, via grape and apricot farms, mountains, lakes - and cows and sheep - frequently stopping for photos and conversations with locals (I'll always remember the man who so proudly gave us a huge bunch of juicy sweet grapes from his land as we talked about living in this beautiful place), as well as refreshment by Incesu lake, a stroll round Kayseri 's ancient covered bazar (15th century), Erciyes volcano and the seemingly mostly derelict village of Boyali (one of which is today's main pic). A day full of the wondrous variety that is Turkey that eventually closed with dinner in our fav restaurant Eleni in Mustafapasa before heading back to the hotel for a couple of drinks and telling Murat all about our day!
