Early walk

The sun was up and No.1 suggested a walk and talk. She started a new job back in the summer and starts half an hour earlier so we have to walk and talk earlier than before. Fortunately the signal was good and we could talk without continual redialling!

It was a beautiful morning so I spent a few hours in the garden when I got back. There is still lots of colour so I didn’t want to cut too much back but I dug up the hollyhocks and cosmos as they are not featuring in my plan for the garden next year. They self seed too much and tend to take over.

I had a visit to Mr Grumpy’s this afternoon as I was looking for more winter colour - bought some more Michaelmas daisies in a lovely pink colour. I had a long chat with MG and think we must rename him - he’s probably shy and misunderstood rather than grumpy.
