Winking Waves

More leaves falling now and settling on the water surface, which always attract me. I suppose it's something different from the bland ordinariness of plain water.

Boats passing by generated waves, causing the leaves to swirl about and tiny bits of algae (which I suppose they are) make a winking shape given just the right length of shutter speed.

You don't see the effect with the naked eye, it only becomes evident in the image after the fact. I think it worthwhile exploring the possibilities of using the camera to observe the world in ways we would not normally see things.
