Fishing
When I went out for a walk this morning, U2's Beautiful Day was playing on the car radio. Very appropriate! It was a mix of sun and cloud, a bit chilly but so invigorating. I spotted this guy fishing on the shore at the start of my walk, and on my way back to the car, I saw some fishermen out on the water. They were too far away for me to get a good photo, but I included an extra of one, surrounded by autumn colours. Couldn't help but think of my cousin and fellow blipper, Beaches Doogie. He'll know why!
The mower finally cut the grass on the sides of our road and the main road that I walk often. Yay! The grass and weeds on the side have been so long and after the recent rain, so wet, and I usually walk on the road until a car comes. Not pleasant to walk through long wet vegetation and in places, it would be difficult for a car to see me around some of the curves and I have no choice but to get off the narrow road. If only there were sidewalks!
Kalyn's team won last night's match in three sets, 25-8, 25-23 and 25-23. The other team played great after a slow start. Kalyn did play despite her injuries and she played well. I knew she'd play, hard to keep her from competing no matter what. I hope she's feeling okay today for the long drive back to the border from Oregon. What a trooper she is!
