La Sagrada Familia
We said our goodbyes to Begur after breakfast and set off for Barcelona. Mainly overcast and muggy today. Parking was a bit of a nightmare but eventually we got a spot near Parc Guell, the part of Barcelona I enjoyed most on our last visit with the boys. After a picnic lunch there, we made our way to the Sagrada Familia. A church I’ve been hoping to visit for over 20 years. On the plus side, at least more of it is finished! Expected completion is now 2026. It did not disappoint. It was the most wonderful and slightly overwhelming experience and unfortunately my photography can’t do it justice. In our Airbnb just outside Barcelona now. Had tasty tapas in the main square. Tarragona tomorrow.
