not a creeper in the bush...

...but a Bushtit in the Virginia Creeper.
I had another long walk this afternoon, with camera in hand and no dog to wrangle. It was wonderful to be able to stop by a "Little Library" and find a book to bring home, and to be still under a tree until some birds came by. 
But I do miss my four legged walking companion! Laney is on the mend, but I think it will be some time before she is ready for a long walk.
