By the River
We went to Tavistock today and visited the market. As well as being home to a large indoor market and many small shops, Tavistock is also an ancient stannary town, and is part of the Cornwall and West Devon World Heritage sight due to it's mining history. This is the bridge over the River Tavy. To the left once stood Tavistock Abbey, though very little of it now remains.
A quick reflection on my day: Woke up, took photos of a crane fly (I think) on the outside of the window: postman arrived early with letter informing me I had committed a speeding offence (37mph on a 30mph country road!), visited Tavistock market and discovered the very extensive hat area had some rather impressive steam punk head gear and had an encounter with a very confident squirrel who seemed to have no fear.
