Dark Inside

I was on the lookout again today for fungi in the woods. This time there were a few more, although the larger ones seemed to have been knocked or fallen over, or were partially eaten. I had to scramble down a river bank to get a photograph of this puffball. It looked as though it had burst open to release the spores. If I was the same size as the fungi I am not sure whether I would have peered inside, or quickly passed on by!
