When we start to get more dark than light hours I seem to feel more tired. But heigh ho, what a beautiful day it is. 21degrees - and we went to town as Mr C “needed” stuff at B&Q and ScrewFix. I said he needed a jumper as he feels the cold these days but he says there would be none to match his walking trousers.

To make up for his lack of purchases I got new shoes - with heels! - the first time I’ve been able to wear any for some years. They are by Dune, dark navy suede and will match my velvet pantaloons. Now I “need” a new top and I’ll be all set for some nights out. I had to evade the maskless footballers’ wives in Fenwicks.

We have found a Park4night place above Robin Hood’s Bay where you put a donation in the box so we’ll go there next week and another place in Yorkshire.
