Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Pots!

Twenty seven of them in fact plus a seagull!
This morning Joyce and I went to visit Josie, we said hallo to her mum and dad too while we were there. I hadn't seen them since last Thursday so I was in baby withdrawal. I'd been keeping away (unless needed) because I was aware they were having a lot of visitors. It was lovely to see how well they are doing, and how happy they are. Not to mention having a prolonged cuddle!
I drove Joyce to the station afterwards then drove Ali's car down for its MOT. It's fifteen years old but doing well. It had a service last month so hopefully should sail through the MOT tomorrow.
Colin picked me up afterwards and we headed down to Portobello where we had a walk along the prom in the warm sunshine. Hard to believe the change from yesterday's weather, but that's Edinburgh in the Autumn I guess. Today was a bonus! There were several swimmers in the sea and only one in a wetsuit! Brrrrrr! I spotted the chimney pots on the end wall of a tenement, one building would keep a sweep in business for quite a while.
Back home we had a quiet evening, aromatic crispy duck which is one of our favourites. It's starting to be a very reasonable price at the supermarkets, hard to justify the restaurant or take away prices.
We watched the first episode of Ridley Road, looks promising.
There's another Porty shot in the extras.
Keep safe folks, the Edinburgh numbers are coming down very satisfactorily.
