Easter egg hunt

Today at riding for the disabled we did an Easter egg hunt before breaking up for end of term.

We had two classes today after a quick warm up if heads and shoulders in the indoor school (which I had to damp down with a freezing hose as it was do dusty) we went into the paddock to hunt for Easter eggs that Jamie had hidden. I initially joined RDA to help the children and play with ponies as I don't have my own but now I can happily say its the mad crazy ladies (and boys) that make the whole package. They are so much fun and lots of giggles to be had.

Today Carolyn insisted on getting on an unruly pony after class to coach him a little as he is starting to rear which is clearly not acceptable for putting special people on. He is a lovely pony and kindly on loan so it would be a shame if we had to lose him for the sake of not spending sometime on him getting over whatever is spooking him.

So crazy Carolyn who is in her 70's and quite barking hopped on and tried him out. He was good as gold. I hope all the other classes that use him have someone like Carolyn to spend some time with him in a lovely way

after freezing in a field I raced to do the weekly shop. I only wanted a couple of things. Well that naturally went out the window and we could now feed an army.

Got home unpacked and grabbed done lunch by 3 then had to race to town to get a cheque as there is great hope the wood burner will arrive tomorrow.

Salmon for tea tonight.
