Sheltered
Following a successful trip into Bagshot for petrol (only a few minutes wait and I now have a full tank ready for the weekend), I took a tiny detour to one of the entrances to Bagshot Heath and a walk.
Windle Brook, which burbles its way through the woodland and heath, was fuller than I had ever seen after the often torrential rain of the last fw days. And, joy of joy, the fungi are beginning to make their presence known.
I was taken by this little clump of Mycena, the tallest being maybe 2 - 3cm high, which seemed to be sheltering a new perfectly formed young bonnet.
