The Great Tapestry of Scotland

Met up with my friend to go to view the Tapestry, which opened in it's purpose built home in Galashiels. Gala, as it's locally known, is the home of Scotland's Textile expertise.

We had the option of buying an annual ticket. So pleased we did because after 2 hours and only being 1/3 of the way through we had to give in and go for coffee. We'll return another day to carry on.
I took great delight in showing my friend the stitches  I put in on the welcome panel.

We had to laugh at ourselves. We became friends at school when we took part in everything; dancing at the Locarno, meeting up at the local milk bar, buying 45s in the record shop, and much much more. Now here we are, both shuffling along with walking sticks, and not getting anywhere fast. Ha ha ha
