The gas man was due between 12 noon and 2 to service the central heating/hot water boiler and turned up 10 minutes early. That left the afternoon free but the rain was falling heavily by the time I got out so it was a dash from car to Tesco and then from car park at Waterhead to the prom. 

There were no cruises this afternoon (weather related) and the cafe was shut (extra). The fish and chip shop was open but had no customers. I regretted having just eaten lunch. I didn’t hang around for long taking photos. Think I’d better charge the battery for the waterproof camera.
