Neptune
On our journey down the M4 motorway today, we decided to stop off at Dyrham Park, a National Trust run property north of Bath. We had never visited before which is odd, considering how close it is to the motorway and how often we pass by.
There is a 17th Century house set amidst 270 acres of parkland. The statue of Neptune stands on a hill overlooking the house. It is more impressive from this view near the house than it is close up.
We wandered for a while round the gardens but chose not to go into the house on this occasion. They were only allowing restricted numbers in at any time (Covid-19 precautions) and it started raining, so we decided to continue with our journey down to Portishead, where we are staying this evening.
