Behind the till

A very wet drive up to the Midlands today, but the traffic wasn't particularly heavy so the journey was OK.  It was busier on the way home this evening, but the rain was less intense so, even though it was getting dark, the journey was not the worst we've had.

When we got home my daughter asked me to accompany her to the shop.  It was an opportunity for a blip, having failed to get anything worthwhile earlier in the day.  Not that this is wonderful, either, but it does - to some extent - illustrate the current shopping experience, with the till operator and the customer both wearing masks, and separated from each  other by a perspex screen.
