Cambusdarach beach

It was a little wet and wild today and the afternoon saw several tremendously loud thunderstorms. Luckily we’d made it out late morning and drive along the coast road to Cambusdarach beach where Phin enjoyed chasing his tennis ball until he got bored and it went back in my pocket.

Drive up to Mallaig as we all needed milk, bread and wine - you know the essentials! Scored some delicious focaccia from the bake house which we enjoyed with langoustine Mac and cheese from the Seafood Shack attached to the Arisaig hotel.

Stuart and Linda joined us around 6 and our other friends Akan and Les arrived just about 6.30. 6 adults plus a large licky dog was a little bit of a squeeze but we made it work.

We enjoyed a couple of hours drinking wine and catching up before I thought I’d better put out some cheese and cold meats and other nibbly bits to soak up some of the alcohol.

Stuart and Linda called it a night at 10.30 but the rest of us carried on till gone midnight!
