Charred

Yesterday's major project that didn't happen and was rescheduled for today. Same story - didn't happen. Deadline has now passed and I hate missing deadlines - not happy. Will have to be tomorrow. Famous last words.

At some point I had to show some contractors where vandals had cut through and pulled down some fence lines in the forest. On the walk through - about 45 minutes from my office, we past a recent scene of a fire amongst some trees. I explained that school kids get in there and run amok, light fires and think it is a great joke etc etc.
Two hours later we have a raging bush fire in the exact same spot and the contractors sighted three school kids running from the scene. Fire trucks and police were called in and all was soon under control. Some blackened trees and burnt grass about all the damage I could see.
I went back to the spot later to get a shot for todays blip - unfortunately I spotted a rabbit burrow in the middle of the charred grass. Grass was still smouldering but no sign of life. No way of telling if all was well, but fingers crossed the inhabitants got away safely.
