85 Days to Go : Ho, ho, ho !

Visiting our local supermarket this morning I was aware of a display urging Halloween purchases. After all that commercial event is only 30 days away now!

On the adjacent shelf this jingle of Santas were limbering up with only 85 days to go! If everything we read about shortages of fuel and food is to be believed perhaps we should panic buy a sleigh full of Santas right now?!

Don’t worry I resisted both temptations today!

We bought as many of our house plants with us from Joppa as we could cram into our car. Today we transferred some of them to our new house.

In the afternoon I picked up the boys from school. It was a happy Friday for them both as they had earned coveted achievement certificates. They were very generous in sharing each other’s success. The younger had also lost another of his baby teeth in science. The tooth came home in the book bag!

Who needs chocolate Santas or Halloween masks when you know the tooth fairy is on the way!
