Wednesday: Oysters and Martinis

All my photos of this evening are a bit blurry so here is the only one that’s relatively in focus.

I had a day off today so we started off with dim sum in Richmond.  It was excellent but left us in a bit of a food coma afterwards.  I did have to do some work-related activity and head up to Simon Fraser University where I was doing a video with J (as in P&J fame) on a joint announcement we’re putting out.  It was quite amusing to try and do something moderately serious together and I did get a bit giggly at one point (to be fair, so did J…..)

I then rushed back home where I reconnected with the kids and K.  We went for a great night out on Granville Island, starting with drinks in ‘The Distillery’, followed by an excellent dinner at ‘The Sandbar’, which included martinis, oysters, sushi, mussels, sablefish (for me), seafood linguine (for everyone else), cheesecake, as well as a few other treats and snacks.  It was one of those wonderful long-lasting meals that we’ll remember.
