False acacia

Yesterday’s telephone battle to extricate us from VM was compounded today by my July letter to their HQ, as listed on their website, being returned to me as “gone away”. What more can I say?!

Our new washing machine was due to be delivered today at 0900. By 1830, with no status update other than “it’s on its way” we gave up and went home. At 1900 I was phoned to be told the delivery would not happen now until Saturday!

Trying to connect to a new energy supplier for our new home was a further challenge due to the phone app not working but once a fellow human was contacted a new contract was established.

I know these problems are all so called “First World” ones but they are still frustrating!

On the plus side we had our ‘flu jabs without any hitches at all and our Gloucestershire grandchildren came to see our empty new house for the first time. They played with some squeaky toys they found under this false acacia tree!
