Empty pavements, blue sky

It’s Gordon’s birthday and we wanted to do something a bit different, so we went on the train from Alnmouth to Edinburgh. It’s a short, but lovely train journey along the coast, especially on such a beautiful day. We went to one of our favourite restaurants and had a great lunch, with a glass of champagne. Then we wandered the streets, enjoying being able to walk without lots of people, had a couple of bus rides, and sat in the sunshine in the Gardens before heading back. A good day.
