On my walk

Walked up to the Beacon on Cracks Hill this morning before the rain came. The Beacon was last lit to celebrate the Millennium and I wonder if there are any plans to light it for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee next year. This beacon is part of the National Chain of Beacons and originally they were used as a tool for communication and a system for warning communities of impending danger.
