Autumnal

Well this is odd. For the first time in 29 years we have no offspring living at home. Our son moved out last night. He starts his new job today (in Surrey) and is renting a room Monday to Friday until he's got somewhere more permanent to live. Not sure how the spaniel is going to take it. On this morning's early walk I almost collided with this spider's web which was hanging at head height. Somehow it was suspended between two trees that must have be at least five metres apart. 

We are supposed to be going to my niece's wedding on Saturday. Its been postponed twice due to Covid. Its a 550mile round trip. I currently have petrol to do one tenth of the journey.
