I took myself off to the hide at Bowling Green marsh this afternoon.
Not only were there hundreds, if not thousands of wildfowl enjoying the high tide but a shed (hide)load of twitchers who had come out to see a
Pectoral Sandpiper

I've put a shot of it in extras, highly cropped otherwise it would be impossible to pick out amongst the surrounding ducks.
Everyone except me was in a high state of excitement so I guess it's a rarity in our waters.
I found the heron far more entertaining
