Epic

An epic day.

This is Dot.T coming in to land following a skydive in aid of the Alzheimer’s Research Uk. She loved it of course. We were delayed a couple of hours due to a morning mist and then warned of further delays due to wind but in the end, they were whisked up into the sky with very little notice and ‘pushed’ out with no resistance from her or her friend.

What awesome awesome weather. The sky was so brilliantly clear and bright.

What’s unseen is the timing. It was the day she had to move into her university accommodation too so we double shifted the day. The jump delay meant we did the uni drop off first which was epic but encouragingly as smooth as it could be, and then drove north to collect her uni BFF and then on to the airfield.

The boys, large and small, were getting antsy about the football match. We got to a pub after the uni drop off and after the jump with 5 minutes to spare. They were of course, delighted with a 3-1 win after an epic game.

Then the journey home, watching every petrol station on the journey south.

We found one with fuel - only one - and it had a mere 10-15 minute queue time and no limit on fuel. So having borrowed the car and trailer off amazing church friends (and fellow blipper) I was desperate not to return the car empty of fuel and overjoyed to fill up.

We passed a dozen darkened empty petrol stations.

Back to catch up on the last episode of Vigil and I think we can say that is was an epic long blessed day.

(She’s in the extra photo looking up into the sky - as big as a little speck ..)
