Altocumulus floccus
Sunset over the football fields with a lot of clouds.
This type of cloud is the Altocumulus floccus.
Altocumulus floccus is a cloud type, named after an international system for classifying clouds according to well defined rules. Altocumulus floccus comes from the genus altocumulus, that means high-stacked and the term floccus comes from flake. These puffy clouds are called 'Schapenwolken' in Dutch. Literally it means "Sheep clouds".
Here a site with i.a. another great example of the Altocumulus floccus.
