Our DiL (I know she’s separated from Josh but she still is our DiL) had a special birthday yesterday and today she was celebrating with her girlfriends. It started with a few of us meeting in Wimbledon Village at Gails bakery for coffee and cake.  It was lovely to see her and give her her pressies. They were then all heading off to Covent Garden for a bottomless lunch and then on to some type of cabaret show whilst Lucy and I had a wander around the village before heading home (which is where we grabbed this blip).

Mr C had gone off to watch rugby. When Lucy and I got home we couldn’t get the key into the lock. It looked as if someone tried to get in and something had broken off in the lock. A quick phone call to Mr C and he suggested a way to get in. Lucy managed it pretty well. Once Mr C was home and after our Chinese takeaway he tried his key in the lock and that’s when he realised……. It was his key that had broken off! He hadn’t realised that, obviously, in the morning when he returned from his walk with Ruby but we are just relieved that it wasn’t someone else trying to get in.  His job tomorrow is to go and get a new lock and put it in which will also mean new door keys.
