My Snuggle Buddy

Sunny and mild all day. I slept fitfully as usual last night. Got up quietly before 6:00 am to fill my cooler so I wouldn’t delay getting us on the road. Went back to bed till the crew got up. We left the farm around 8:30 am. We saw two accidents but both were on the opposite side of the road. Hopefully, if there were injuries, they were minor. Traffic was particularly heavy as is normal on Fridays. I tried to sleep or rest with my eyes closed for most of the trip; my survival mechanism on busy highways. We stopped to buy apples so the girls and I can make our annual applesauce. It is a bit early in the season, so we will get more the next time my sister goes to WV. We had lunch at The Oak Barrel, a fun little restaurant with good food. Sugar got a pup cup of ice cream so she was thrilled with the stop. She slept beside me most of the trip home. We snuggled under my kitty blanket. It was around 5:00 pm when we pulled into our driveway. Hubby was still cutting grass as a surprise for my sister and BIL. They constantly help others, it was their turn to be on the receiving end. I am almost unpacked so hopefully hubby and I can relax after his shower and dinner. It promises to be a busy weekend. May you have tons of fun and relaxation this weekend. Thanks for stopping by. Glad you enjoyed that display of my sister’s flowers.
