A walk to G&Teas...

...across the fields for brunch before we left later this aft...

A very pleasant 4 mile round trip with Trish and Gus - Roseberry Topping and Captain Cook's monument in the distance. 

We've had a lovely few days away - and I'm so pleased that my end of summer prediction was way off the mark! We even managed coffee and Portuguese tarts in the garden before we left ;) 

A crazy tailback on the M1 - on our side we think it was just rubberneckers; on the other side there had been a collision, which they seemed to be taking ages to clear. I think the hold up was over an hour's worth at one point...
