Meanwhile back home the U.K. seems to be creaking at every turn as energy companies collapse, CO2 supplies are only secured for two weeks and the lorry driver shortages are escalating. Today we witnessed empty supermarket shelves and queues forming at the local fuel forecourt.

On the plus side today we had more very warm sunshine and the pleasures of doing school pickup. The optimism of youth is a true tonic!

This evening I joined an AGM online of an organisation I volunteer with and we prepared for a long planned mini break in Wiltshire beginning tomorrow.
