Giant Goober

The state of Georgia is known for a lot of things. The southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail. The Masters golf tournament. The big city of Atlanta. Plains...home to President Jimmy Carter. Savannah,...birthplace of the Girl Scouts. And...also the 3 P words. Peaches, pecans, and peanuts.

Lisa and I stopped at this giant peanut. A tourist from Illinois snapped our picture. The tourist and his family were going to Orlando to visit Mickey Mouse.

I only took 11 pictures today...all of them of this peanut. We stopped outside of Atlanta to have dinner with the friends that visited us in Florida last month. Always nice to see them. We brought some strawberries from Florida for them.

We left at 8:30 a.m., and drove until 11 p.m. 768 miles. A long day with 4 tired legs, and 2 tired butts. Good to get out of the car.

Enough said. Night night. Will catch up when we get home. Hope to get some biscuits and gravy for breakfast. (That's the southern boy in me coming out.)

Spending the night in Clinton, Tennessee...about 20 miles north of Knoxville.
