Day 34 Level 4 Lockdown
The mural in today’s blip is on the side of a bakery café in the suburb of Kohimarama, which is a seaside suburb with a very strong yacht club that teaches a lot of youngsters to sail. The clubhouse looks directly across to Rangitoto Island, which is depicted in the mural.
The extra is of a Gazania Rigens Takatu Red, also known as the Treasure Flower. There is a bank covered with them that we pass on one of our regular walks.
There were 22 new community cases today. However, good news, Auckland will drop down to Level 3 for two weeks from 11:59pm tomorrow night (Tuesday), as the Government and the Ministry of Health believe the Delta outbreak is contained. There isn’t a lot of difference between Levels 3 and 4, but it’s a step in the right direction.
