MacKenzie Cottage

Headed up to the lakes mid morning for a little mini break. Staying at Mackenzie cottage, which belongs to a friends family. Its a wonderful place, very remote and pretty basic inside, but just stunning - this is the view from the picture window in the living room. I'd forgotten quite how cold it can be on the day you arrive and no-one had been there since New Year so it took a while to warm the place up. We got the fires going though and all slept in one room with two heaters going all night and the fire made up to go for as long as possible. We were warm and toasty by morning!
