Searching for a good ‘Book Club’ book

Has anyone read this? I can’t remember where I saw it first, but it was highly recommended. I don’t know this author. I always read the book that I choose for the book club before I suggest it. I end up reading lots, most of which I don’t think are right. The good thing about being a member of a book club is that you get to read such a mixture of books that you may not have even thought about. One of our group favours Italian books which are sometimes quite dated. ‘the Leopard’ by Giuseppe Di Lampedusa, which I gather is an Italian classic, I found so challenging to read that I got it on Audible and listened to it whilst I was making a pair of curtains. No, I wouldn’t recommend it!!
