Duck and Waffle

Today my son turned 18. How time flies. We went into London for brunch at Duck and Waffle on the 40th floor of the Heron Tower. I had to psyche myself up to go in the lift as I have terrible lift / tall building phobia. I did it. The views were great and we had a lovely family lunch. I’d preordered a cake with a birthday greeting so that went down well.
After lunch we went over to the west end and shopped for his birthday present - a watch.

We’re on the train home all a bit weary. He has his driving test first thing tomorrow so the celebrations will recommence if he passes! Fingers crossed.
