Station to Station

Continuing on from Friday's station theme, here's the outside of the building.
One photo doesn't do it justice, the whole roof is very wide, and this is just a small part.

The current station was built in 1965 to a design by architect Koen van der Gaast. It consists of a high, 'floating' roof, which is known to locals as the kroepoek (prawn cracker).

To the right of the station is a monument commemorating the victims of the Second World War, it has a bell tower, consisting of 12 bells, and again this has a nickname; 'clothes peg'.
