There is a light that never goes out

Tonight, during Earth Hour, I walked into town.

In front of the council offices a band was playing. The event was sponsored by the WWF. Their flag, featuring their famous panda logo was flapping in the strong, bitter, easterly wind.

My dear old dad was part of the team that designed and drew that logo in the late 60's. Not a lot of people know that. He certainly doesn't show off about it, on the contrary.
I'm proud of that lovely, modest man.

There are some lights that never go out.

Take me out tonight
Because I want to see people and I want to see life
