Stone Cold

Well, this morning I downloaded a well known HDR software program and this afternoon set out to find something with a bit of texture to see if I could produce something half decent. There was a lot of the white stuff out there which I don't think suits the technique, but I found some interest in the tree trunks, gravestone, obelisk and church to test it. I used 6 shots at different exposures and I am reasonably pleased with the HDR result. I will need to be careful with the effects in future though, because you can definitely overdo them.
