When Life Gives You Lemons…

..find enjoyment with Plan B. Sunny and hot all day. We have waited for today since March 2021. There was a virtual auction at my grand’s school and my sister and BIL bought donated tickets to the WVU football game. It took forever to actually get their hands on the tickets for one reason or another. Since today is their wedding anniversary, they planned to celebrate with the game and dinner. Sugar and I had a quiet day planned. Bright and early this morning, they headed to Morgantown for the noon game looking excited as the photo shows in their new school attire. They were back in no time. When they opened the envelope with the tickets, they were for last Saturday. So my BIL searched for stuff to do locally. We went to the small town nearby that used to make very popular pottery. They had displays of most everything they made and folks set up booths selling food and handicrafts. We met a lady who told us where the original pottery had stood and said we could probably find pieces buried in the creek - info my sister has wanted for years. All the town folks were friendly and helpful and we found perfect Christmas gifts for our German friends. We went to a larger town for a delicious lunch and did some shopping. We found a stencil so we can start on my daughter’s unique Christmas gift. There is always fun to be had if you just look. What could have been a “cry in your beer” experience was anything but. And my sister was not comfortable being cramped among a stadium of possible COVID carriers anyway. My youngest daughter was exposed at work -again, and had to be tested before she can return to the office. Thanks for dropping by.
