Washed Out

Went for a walk through the woods by the river today. Cold day, cold wind, unrelenting grey light and washed out colours - just the occasional clump of chilly-looking daffodils showing any brightness and also the only sign that this is supposed to be spring.

Thought this shot summed the day up - dark greens and greys, with the brightest colour being the washed out bronze of last year's beech leaves. It was nice to get back in to a cup of tea.
