A consultation at Sevil Smile Studio in Didim this morning to discuss some major dental work that I’ve wanted, and needed, for a long time. Terrified of dentists since childhood, tentative original plans to go ahead upon retirement were all subsequently shelved by Covid, but I can’t use that excuse anymore, and now is as good a time as any to think about contemplating the possibility of maybe actually choosing to sit in a dental chair voluntarily for hours in the foreseeable future. Or not.
I now have lots to think about and spent much of the rest of the day quietly at home contemplating my options. An hour’s video call with mbfiatw Jean helped, as did a mirror.
Learning this evening that Turkey is now off the ‘red’ list, means that maybe I could be smiling in Essex for Christmas.
The photo is the reflection cast through the medical centre’s window on to the leather style sofa where I waited before and recovered after. Nicely out of focus, which is very much like I was feeling!
